Public input is ticket to success for LibertyBus

LibertyBus is delighted to have been chosen as the winners of the "Best Brand Campaign 2013" award at Friday's Chartered Institute of Marketing Awards. The award recognised the innovative marketing campaign that surrounded the launch of the new bus service in January.

The use of public participation in the branding of the service from the designs of the buses to the naming of the AvanchiCard smart card system was a key factor in the awarding of the prize.

Francesca Rotheram, Marketing Manager for LibertyBus, said "we always wanted people in Jersey to feel that the bus service was theirs and not some corporate identikit service implanted from the outside. A key part of this was to choose a distinctive design for the buses that had a resonance to Islanders as well as enabling Islanders to name the service. Allowing the public to vote for these things not only helps to forge a partnership between our customers and LibertyBus but we feel we have ended up with wonderful designs that reflect the local community".


Whilst LibertyBus is proud to have won this award, the company is also determined that the award is not just for them but for the people of Jersey who helped forge this identity by taking part and voting. LibertyBus will keep on working hard to keep developing and improving the service for their customers and will continue to keep listening to the local community's ideas for their bus service.
